LOCAL BUSINESS
Clayburn Schoolhouse is one of the earliest structures built in Clayburn Village to support the families living in Canada's first company built town. The first section was built in 1907-1908 and operated as a school until 1983. Today it continues to be used for community purposes and also houses the Society's collection of artifacts and photos, acting as an informal museum that interprets local history and the nature of early education in the village.

Clayburn Church
Originally built in 1912, the Clayburn Church stands as one of the village’s most recognizable landmarks, showcasing early vernacular architecture and the distinctive use of locally made Clayburn brick. Modest in form with its steeply pitched roof and small belfry, the church was constructed with red brick exteriors and exposed buff brick interiors—a proud display of the Clayburn Company’s craftsmanship. By the late 1970s, the structure had deteriorated, and in 1978 it was carefully dismantled and rebuilt under the direction of the local heritage society, re-using as many original materials as possible and sourcing new matching brick from Clayburn Industries to preserve its historic character.

Clayburn Village Store

When Bryan and Patricia Haber purchased the store in 1987 it was in terrible disrepair, but they saw past that and created something wonderful. The welcoming feeling as you walk in the front door invites you to experience their world of good food, family & loyal customers who have become friends.
This has been a labour of love for Mr. & Mrs. Haber and they have re-kindled the heritage of this lovely store to last many years. They welcome you to take the opportunity to step back in time and enjoy the traditional flavours and values of yesteryear.

Clayburn Pet Hospital

Established in 1994, Clayburn Pet Hospital began right here in historic Clayburn Village, where it served the local community for many years. Originally owned and operated by Dr. Dennis McKenzie, the practice was purchased in 2007 by Dr. Katz Piller, who continues to lead the clinic today. While the hospital has since relocated to a modern facility on Gladwin Road in Abbotsford, it proudly retains its Clayburn name and village roots—continuing a tradition of compassionate, community-based veterinary care that started in the village.
